How To Use Resveratrol Capsules Effectively In Combating Disease
Resveratrol capsules have become an increasingly popular health supplement, due to the media's wide reporting of tests which have been carried out on laboratory animals which suggest that resveratrol may play a part in slowing down the aging process. The results of these tests do not, of course, prove that the same results will be obtained in trials involving human volunteers. What they do suggest is that it is worth taking the time and trouble to carry out these trials to see if resveratrol does have this kind of effect.
Resveratrol pills have been tested in much shorter trials to see if they are useful in combating degenerative disease. The results of these trials have been highly encouraging. Whereas the trials carried out animals suggested that resveratrol would only affect insulin levels and not levels of cholesterol, the human trials have suggested something completely different. Cholesterol levels have been altered dramatically in people who have used resveratrol. The low-density lipoproteins which are health risk , are I have been dramatically reduced, while the beneficial high density lipoproteins have correspondingly increased.
The effectiveness of resveratrol pills in combating aging, and the resveratrol dosage required, are far more subjective. Even if there had been time to carry out the necessary trials to determine whether or not resveratrol was effective against aging, there is always the problem of how you determine the result. There is no known way to ascertain how quickly a person would have aged had they not taken the supplement. This will always be the case, so it always going to need faith and trust on behalf of the user.
With resveratrol capsules, you also have to consider that there are medical authorities who doubt their efficacy. These authorities claim that the process of creating the capsules destroys the active resveratrol. As well as this, there is the financial factor which is just not there with taking resveratrol in a natural way. If you are a wine drinker, you just exchange your current brand for one which is rich in resveratrol, and if you eat fruit, you can just eat more dark skinned grapes than other types of fruit you may have been eating.
It also needs to be borne in mind that taking supplements is not a cure all. If you take a supplement to slow down aging, and then neglect your body in other ways, you will be undoing the good which you may achieve with the supplement. Make sure that your dietary choices are sound, and refrain from taking in chemicals which are known to age the body. The worst offender of all is nicotine, and smokers are known to have wrinkled and lined skin at a premature age. Don't allow bad habits to cancel out the effect of your resveratrol capsules.
